For the past 10 years, Kimberly Tate has worked her way up the ladder at Dell Inc. as a local project manager, people manager, sales coach and sales representative before being named Global Consumer Incentives Program Manager two years ago.
In this role, she is responsible for finance, vendors, marketing, compensation and leadership with a focus on creating a robust incentive plan for Consumer employees across the globe.
“We offer a variety of incentives ranging from earning computers, Vespas, trips, movie passes, gift cards and cash on paycheck,” Kimberly said.Dell is a multinational information technology company offering computing solutions, servers, printers, accessories and more.
Kimberly said she enjoys the opportunity to create new and exciting programs for Dell consumers, one of which was a recent sneak preview to Iron man 2 the night before it opened to the public. As an added perk, she also gets to mentor people and help them craft their careers.
Kimberly spent 10 years working in retail before joining Dell. Now 10 years later, she still enjoys the fast-paced environment, the results-driven mentality and the opportunity to grow with a company which she loves. Dell also happens to be a company that supports the GLBT community, she said.
“A favorite quote of mine goes hand-in-hand with the attitude with which I approach my work,” Kimberly said. “If better is possible, good is not enough.”
